Instructions: How to Buy CDST?
In order to buy CDST, first sign up at WavesExchange. Follow the link https://waves.exchange/ or download the desktop, or mobile app on your device to do this. If you haven’t yet registered an account, then you can’t proceed. Creating an account is quick and easy. The Waves.Exchange recommends to do it using Email, but there are other ways to do it: via cold wallet Ledger or via a browser extension Waves Keeper. You can also Sign Up using the Seed Phrase, Keystore File or Private Key.
Choose the way to sign up
It is recommended to sign up via an email account because it is considered to be the safest authentication method because it doesn’t require you to transfer your special seed phrase which is given to you when you register in other way. If third parties take over your seed, you may lose your funds. It needs to be noticed here that actually seed-based accounts are no less secure than email-based accounts, but only if the user is confident in the safety of his actions, he understands what a seed is and how the blockchain works. Seed accounts are intended for more experienced users. Also, when using an email account, you can always quickly restore access if you forgot your password on Waves.Exchange, but you won’t be able to use the authentic Waves.Exchange mobile app. It’s only for seed-based accounts and if you’re signing up through the app, you also get one of those. Unlike a seed account, you can use an email account in different browsers and on different devices without having to import it every time.
Enter credentials and verify email address to create an account
When you choose “Email”, a pop-up board will appear where you need to put in your address and password. Fill in the required fields and select “Create Account”.
Once you do it, you’ll receive the verification code on your mail. The letters come from <no-reply@waves.exchange>. Check the spam box and get sure you typed the correct address, if you can’t find the letter.
Use this 6-digit code to input on the Waves.Exchange website. Now you can log in, type in your credentials again.
Depositing funds to buy crypto on them
Now, once you are logged in, the site opens the sectin of your wallet by default. Now you can buy CDST at this exchange. Let’s figure out how to do this. First, you need to add funds which you’ll use to buy. We suppose that you’re not very much familiar with crypto, so this instruction will touch upon buying CDST using your local currency (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, etc).
You can’t buy CDST directly for fiat money, though, because it’s only one asset you can buy CDST with now. That is USDN, a stablecoin which price is tied to the US Dollar and is always near it.
So, at the top of the screen, you will see the “Buy Crypto” button. When you select “Buy Crypto”, the site will redirect you to the purchase page.
You will need to In the field “I buy” should be USDN, and then in the text field “I Spend” you will need to select the currency in which you want to pay, for example USD. Then press the blue button “Buy USDN”.
Once you click, a window will open, so you could select the payment method. There are only two ways to deposit your account with fiat money (USD, EUR, GPB, etc): via a Bank Card or via the AdvCash service. Mind the commission of 1%.
Then you fill in your payment details just like in any other online shop and click “buy” and mind another commission of +0.36% needed to be paid on top of your sum.
Buying CDST for your USDN
Great, you’ve got your USDN in the wallet. So, move your cursor on the caption Trading on top of the page and then open the tab “Spot”.
In the upper right side, you’ll find a tumbler. Switch it to the Community Mode. When you do it, a pup-up disclaimer will appear and you need to type the words “I agree” to proceed. Press confirm.
Okay, now, in that very right corner, select USDN (#1 on the 3rd pic below), and just below it you’ll find the “Search” field (#2). Type CDST in it. The result should be a pair СDST/USDN. Click on it (#3). Now choose the desired amount of CDST in the “green” side (buy CDST) and set an order.
If you want your CDSTs right away, leave the field “Price” as is if there’s enough CDST being selled in the Depth of Market (red column Amount of CDST in left side of the page), and if you want to buy it at a specific price that differs from that one at the moment, enter it in the field. After the order is executed, CDST tokens will be transferred to your crypto wallet in a moment.
How to make sure the CDST tokens you’ve bought are in your crypto wallet?
To do this, select the “Wallet” tab at the top of the page. You’ll be redirected to the wallet section. Here you will see a list of different assets and your balance. The list contains asset names, your balance, its equivalent in USD, asset price in USD, and 24H change in pits price. All columns are sortable. To find CDST you need to pick a tab “unverified” above the column and then press the magnifier icon left to the “Asset” column. Type “CDST” in it, and you’ll see your balance.
You shouldn’t worry about the unverified status. It’s a new feature enabled in WAVES. In order for a token to get a verified status, a lot of users in the community should vote for it in the WAVES DAO ecosystem. We will be very glad to see your vote for our project.
